Proposing a Project Topic: General Guidelines

  1. The topics must be related to social data science. That is, applying data science principles, methods and techniques to a social or society problem.
  2. The topics for the capstone project should develop students’ ability to perform interdisciplinary integration, including theoretical and methodological integration.
  3. The topics for the capstone project are encouraged to develop students’ global perspectives and intercultural competence (e.g., acknowledges and adapts to cultural differences).
  4. Students can either use prior research data or collect new data for the capstone project.
