Developing and Evaluating Interdisciplinarity and Internationalization in the Curriculum of Bachelor of Arts and Science in Social Data Science

Objective

The overarching objective of the project is to develop and evaluate the interdisciplinarity (ID) and internationalization (INT) of the BASc(SDS) through systematic curricula innovation.

Outcomes

ID and INT are evidenced in critical components of the BASc (SDS) curriculum. The project considers in its scope the organic whole of the program’s curriculum, including individual courses, experiential learning, and capstone components.
Guidelines are provided for developing and evaluating ID and INT in BASc(SDS) program that can be used by other programs.
Students benefited from the ID and INT of the program which is reflected in their research work and artifacts.
Findings of the project contribute to the T&L research in data science education.
